From field data to programme decisions

My career has moved from collecting surveillance data in the field, to managing HIV programme data, to leading a programme workstream and analysing primary healthcare performance.

Now: monitoring and performance analysis across a primary healthcare facility network.

Highlight

Developed an HMIS and data-quality training plan, and family planning and mortality reporting checklists, to tackle recurring data-quality gaps.

Responsibilities

  • I support programme monitoring, implementation follow-up and performance analysis across a network of revitalised primary healthcare facilities.
  • I consolidate, clean, validate and analyse routine facility HMIS data, and follow up with facilities on missing, inconsistent or unusual values.
  • I turn monthly indicator analysis into dashboards, programme reports and technical presentations for programme and stakeholder reviews.
  • I coordinate with facility Officers-in-Charge and local government M&E structures, and supervise programme liaison officers.
  • I developed an HMIS and data-quality training plan, and checklists for family planning and mortality/cause-of-death reporting, in response to recurring data-quality gaps.

What I'm proud of

SCIDaR · PEPFAR/USAID ASPIRE

Turned around facility reporting on ASPIRE

I identified persistent facility reporting barriers and introduced weekly reporting, submission deadlines, register reviews and structured follow-up. The new routines contributed to previously low-performing facilities moving from the red category on the NHLMIS dashboard into the top 10.

SCIDaR · PEPFAR/USAID ASPIRE

Led the PMTCT workstream

Coordinated PMTCT activities, tracked implementation against national guidelines and targets, and monitored testing, retention and viral-load indicators.

PSHAN · ADHFP

Built tools to fix recurring data-quality gaps

Developed an HMIS and data-quality training plan, and checklists for family planning and mortality/cause-of-death reporting.

Independent research

Completed an independent epidemiological analysis

Analysed Nigeria's WOAH-WAHIS brucellosis records for 2008–2025 and delivered a validated, interactive Power BI report.
